About this template
Polar graph paper replaces the square grid with circles and angles, so you can plot points as (r, θ). Ten evenly spaced circles give the radius scale and radial lines every 15° (bold every 45°) give the angle. It's used for precalculus and calculus homework — roses, cardioids, spirals — as well as antenna patterns and circular designs.
How to use it
- Mark your radius scale on the 0° line before plotting.
- Plot key angles first (0°, 45°, 90° …) and connect the points smoothly.
- If you work in radians: 15° is π/12, 45° is π/4 and 90° is π/2.

How do I plot a point on polar graph paper?
Find the angle θ on the outer labels, follow that radial line out from the centre, and count circles to the radius r.
Are the angles in degrees or radians?
The labels are in degrees, every 15°. Convert to radians if your course uses them (180° = π).
